Big Streets Small Lanes in Taipei

CIMG0593(1)_mast

There are still many places in Taiwan which I have not discovered or explored.

As the first time visitor to downtown Taipei to stay at the Ximen Hotel, I was awed by the big streets with heavy vehicular traffic of multiple lanes, high-rise skyscrapers and non-stop pedestrians throughout the day and night.

Not that I was excited by the big cities as a child with wide eyes and opened mouth …

I discover the “cultural shock” for every new places I visit to learn and experience the big streets and small lanes and alleys [大街小巷] which brought home the fond nostalgic memories after every trip.

The pedestrian walkways are swept and cleaned by the workers every morning.
